DISTORTED HEAVEN – the band name says it all, because the gracefulness of heavenly melodies is distorted by hard rock and charismatic, raw vocals. The beauty and the beast, so to speak.
In 2020, “The Nighthawk,” aka Reiner Hambücker, teamed up with Matthias Doffek to form the band Distorted Heaven out of a project.
Steffen Wentzel, Matt Spade, and Darek Soko completed the lineup.
In early 2025, Matthias and Steffen left the band because they both wanted to pursue other musical paths.
Since April 2025, Marc has been providing the guitar thunder for Distorted Heaven.
So what does this band from the Heinsberg district near the Dutch border sound like? Words alone cannot adequately describe it. The sound of DISTORTED HEAVEN is definitely rich in rock, but hymnal metal elements and dark gothic vibes also found their way in the songs.
Above all else reigns this captivating, raw vocals that you simply have to hear for yourself.

DISTORTED HEAVEN – der Bandname ist Programm, denn die Anmut himmlischer Melodien wird durch harten Rock und einem charismatischen, rauen Gesang verzerrt. Die Schöne und das Biest, sozusagen.
2020 gründete „The Nighthawk“, alias Reiner Hambücker gemeinsam mit Matthias Doffek aus einem Projekt heraus die Band Distorted Heaven.
Durch Steffen Wentzel, Matt Spade und Darek Soko wurde das Lineup der komplettiert.
Anfang 2025 verließen Matthias und Steffen die Band, da beide andere musikalische Wege beschreiten wollten.
Seit April 2025 sorgt nun Marc für das Gitarrengewitter bei Distorted Heaven.
Wie klingt sie nun, die Band aus dem Kreis Heinsberg nahe der holländischen Grenze? Das können Worte nur unzulänglich beschreiben. Im Sound von DISTORTED HEAVEN findet sich auf jeden Fall gehaltvoller Rock wieder. Aber auch hymnische Metal-Elemente und düstere Gothic-Vibes bahnen sich ihren Weg.
Über allem thront dieser einnehmende, raue Gesang, den man einfach selbst gehört haben muss.
